What is the renal failure and what do kidney stones look like?
This is a condition in which the kidneys do not perform their function of purifying the body of harmful substances. These substances affect almost all systems and organs, including the brain. To purify the blood from harmful products on a special apparatus, sometimes called an “artificial kidney,” hemodialysis is performed.
Such procedures are continued for 4-5 hours several times a week. Another direction of treatment of such patients is kidney transplantation. The kidney can be transplanted as from a deceased person, and from a living related donor.
